Rarely does a piece of gear arrive with its own songs. The second I plugged in the Fuzzrocious Demon King, the ideas just popped out and started running. Without putting much thought into it, I had written three fully formed songs around the Demon King. This beast is king for a reason. A warm and touch-responsive fuzz that sits in the mid-high gain area, the Demon King has a tight, focused Les Paul-through-a-Marshall vibe, with a touch of Rat thrown in before you ever find the other two switches. The other two switches? A gate/boost in the middle and a feedback loop on the left. The Volume, Tone, Drive and Feedback controls that line the top are all interactive. The settings of your other controls will determine how much gate you get with your boost, or how the feedback will sound. It also seems to respond very differently to different pickups. With my humbuckers, I got a dark ringmod effect, with p90’s, a bright bit crusher. The most important thing I can tell you about this pedal is that the feedback loop wants to kill you in your sleep. Make sure you are ready for it… it’s ready for you, and will pull no punches.
